Who it's for

When connection feels like hard work

Every relationship goes through seasons. Relationship counselling gives you both a place to be heard and understood, and to find your way back to each other. It can help with:

  • Emotional disconnection and distance
  • Communication that keeps breaking down
  • Recurring conflict
  • Rebuilding trust after a rupture
  • Intimacy and closeness
  • Navigating big life transitions together
  • Pre-marital and commitment support

You don't have to be in crisis to come. Many couples come simply to grow closer.

What to expect

A neutral, unhurried space

Sessions run for 90 minutes — deliberately longer than an individual session, so both of you have room to speak and be heard without rushing.

Tersia holds the space with warmth and neutrality, helping you slow down the patterns that escalate and hear each other more clearly. The goal isn't to decide who's right — it's greater understanding, and a way forward you both feel part of.

Two people, met with equal care, finding their way back to each other.

Common questions

Couples counselling — the essentials

Do both partners need to attend?

It works best with both partners present, but it's also valuable if you'd like to work on your relationship on your own. You're welcome either way.

How long are sessions, and what do they cost?

Relationship sessions are 90 minutes and cost $295 NZD — in person in Takapuna or online. A six-session relationship package is available for couples ready to do deeper work together.

Can we meet online?

Yes. In-person sessions are at the Takapuna clinic (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday); online sessions run across New Zealand and worldwide, Monday to Friday.
