What to expect

Your first session

There's nothing to prepare. Your first session begins with a gentle check-in — how you're feeling, and what you'd like to focus on. From there, the conversation is guided by you.

Tersia draws on a holistic, whole-person approach — reflective conversation, mindfulness, somatic awareness and empowerment coaching — to work with the root causes, not just the symptoms. You always set the pace and the direction.

You will be met with full presence, free from shame or judgement.

Common questions

Individual counselling — the essentials

How long is a session, and what does it cost?

Individual sessions run for one hour and cost $195 NZD, in person in Takapuna or online. Many people start with a single session and continue at a pace that suits them. Six-session packages are also available for those who want continuity.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Everything you share is private and held in confidence, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Online sessions are held on a secure, professional platform.

Can I meet online instead of in person?

Absolutely. In-person sessions are at the Takapuna clinic on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; online sessions run across New Zealand and worldwide, Monday to Friday.
